Clothilde’s Wedding — An Intimate Celebration in Burgundy
An intimate and deeply personal wedding, celebrated at the family home in Burgundy, France.
For her special day, our bride chose Allegra, customised with a redesigned back and a bespoke scarf inspired by the elegance of the 1920s.
A one-of-a-kind gown, thoughtfully designed for her, and with her.

How did you meet?
Sébastien and I met at the wedding of my childhood friends, in the Vercors mountains. Our friends had actually suspected that we might be a perfect match before we had even met!
During the cocktail reception, the groom leaned over and whispered, “That’s the one I told you about last time…” And that was the beginning of our story.
At the time, I was living in Paris and Sébastien was based in Grenoble, but the distance didn't put us off. A few months later, I moved to join him in the Alps.
La Dent de Crolles, where we spent one of our first weekends camping under the stars, has held a special place in our story ever since.
How and where did the proposal take place?
The proposal happened in August 2025, in Albania, and we did things a little differently — I was the one who proposed to Sébastien!
Nothing had been planned. We were sitting together by a river one evening, and I simply felt that it was the right moment. It was spontaneous, simple, and perfectly us.
The ring came a few months later. Sébastien had a reinterpretation of my great-grandmother's engagement ring made, adding a few personal touches. I was named after her, which made it all the more meaningful.
Tell us about your wedding
We got married on July 25th, 2026, less than a year after the proposal.
We chose a place very close to my heart: my family home in the Nièvre region of Burgundy. We set up a beautiful marquee in the garden for dinner and the evening celebrations.
For the ceremony, we chose a small church perched on top of a hill, which also happened to be the destination of our very first bike ride together in Burgundy.
We deliberately decided not to have a specific theme. Instead, we wanted the setting, its history and its natural atmosphere to shape the day.
We also made a point of supporting local producers and calling on the talents of people close to us, including our photographer, DJ and florist.
It felt like a true luxury to be surrounded by people we love, even among those helping to bring our wedding to life.
How did you choose your wedding dress?
Choosing my wedding dress was incredibly important to me, and I had spent a lot of time thinking about what I wanted before my appointments.
I dreamed of a dress that would make an impression, something a little different, with a vintage feel and, above all, made entirely of lace.
When I first walked into Harpe Paris, I was convinced I would leave with the Atlanta gown, which I had already fallen in love with.
But towards the end of my appointment, my bridal consultant suggested I try on Allegra. And just like that, my decision was made!
We then worked together to personalise the gown, redesigning the shape of the back and creating a bespoke scarf to enhance its 1920s-inspired aesthetic.
And that is how my custom Allegra came to life — a dress that was everything I had imagined.
What were the most important things to you when planning your wedding?
Above all, we wanted to make sure that wedding planning didn't take over to the point where we lost sight of what our commitment truly meant.
Our wedding was meant to be a celebration and a genuine moment of togetherness, right from the planning stages.
Our priority was to create a warm, welcoming day for our loved ones, one that truly reflected who we are.
From the invitations and ceremony booklets to the wedding party outfits, so many details were designed and created by us or by people close to us.
There were no Pinterest boards or Instagram moodboards. We wanted our ideas to come from our own story, our personalities and the people around us.
I think that's exactly what made our wedding feel so joyful and deeply personal.
